Joint Anniversary/Birthday Annual Celebration

Can't believe I didn't take one photo - I am slipping! We always get together with Phil and Sandy sometime in early December to mark Sandy's birthday and our wedding anniversary which is actually on the 14th. Realized that night that this year marks our 25th - lost track I guess! We stayed in Vancouver this year, went to the new Keg in Yaletown on Saturday (which is the most fabulous looking Keg I've ever been to) We had a sleepover and went to breakfast at the Hurricane Grill on Sunday morning. A little shopping in the afternoon, hot chocolate/lattes on the seawall. Beautiful sunny crisp weather - wonderful!

Urban Artisan Crafts Fair

I took part in this crafts fair the weekend of November 28 and 29. Weather was awful and as this area depends on walk-in traffic, no one did terribly well. I'm glad I went as it looks like all of the cards I handed out are paying off. I only want to have enough business to keep me knitting and inspired. There was a really good photo of my Maple Leaf Hoodie on the poster with Tinkerbelle (Phil's and Sandy's Yorkie) as a model.

Late November Home Exchange-Vancouver/Whatcom Lake, WA

This is the only photo I took the whole weekend. It was a very quiet one but enjoyable! The weather was rainy and cold but we loved our daily evening wood fires. Did some Christmas shopping in Bellingham and Alderwood and had some great breakfasts in Bellingham. This is the 4th home exchange with the Bookman's. Phil and Sandy had a prior commitment so couldn't join us this year.

Escape to Palm Springs

Had a wonderful month in the sun, although a little too hot for my taste. Next year, one month later!

Dos amigos y dos amigas!

Viewpoint stop on the way to Idellwyld (?)

In the mountains above Palm Springs

Enjoying one of the fifty-six pools in the country club

Every hour was 'happy hour'

Great view of the course and the mountains from our back patio

Phil stopping for liquid refreshments in the middle of his golf game

After-the-walk patio time

We went for our walk very early every morning in order to avoid the extreme heat - 100+ degrees for all of September.

Side Trip to Las Vegas from Palm Springs

Las Vegas - here we come!

Phil emptied out his piggy bank and is ready to hit the casinos...

Relaxing in the room

Believe it or not, this is a McDonald's - it even had real flowers on the tables!

Stan having his morning coffee at this unusual McDonald's

We spent an evening in the Fremont area - the old Las Vegas

Stan agrees!
