Kenny's Mexican Black Beans

Kenny brought (smuggled!!!) these black beans from Mexico and planted them in the backyard. Due to back weather this summer, they have taken a long time to ripen. We ended up being the gatherers - so here they hang drying up properly - we hope!

The Circus Comes to Town

The Do Portugal Circus has been setting up for the last couple of days just a few steps from our condo. Something you would never see at home: tigers, panthers, even a leopard, camels, monkeys, hyenas to mention the few we saw as we went by on our morning walk.
