Ucluelet - May 2012

Spent a wonderful 5 days in Ucluelet.  Enjoyed the quietness, the beautiful scenery and great lunches out both in Ucluelet and in Tofino.  Visited with our friends, Cheryl and Chris, at the campsite they looked after all summer and stayed in their house in Comox for the weekend.  Also saw Mike and Martha Nihls as well as their daughter, Cram, and were invited to their house for dinner on Sunday night.  Waiting for some photos taken by Cheryl to add to this post.  Believe it or not I didn't take any myself - guess I wasn't myself!

What a Christmas Present!

Here's our Christmas 2011 present from Nicole and PJ!  Even included a trip to Ontario to go and pick her up.  We've named her Zoe and at 4 months she's all of 2.4 lbs!

Kenny's Mexican Black Beans

Kenny brought (smuggled!!!) these black beans from Mexico and planted them in the backyard. Due to back weather this summer, they have taken a long time to ripen. We ended up being the gatherers - so here they hang drying up properly - we hope!
