On our Way to Mexico
We've been back from Ontario for a little over three weeks now and the time has really flown by. We've had a good taste of winter this year - with a month in Ontario plus the unusually cold weather and snow here in BC since we've been back. We spent a lot of time with our friends and family - that kept us warm. Sheree was here for Stan's birthday and took us to a great Japanese Restaurant in Richmond. We had lunch with Paula at another Japanese Restaurant - can you see a pattern there? As well as dinners at Ken and Muriel's and at Phil and Sandy's. We're really looking forward to some tropical weather now though and leave tomorrow morning. We're planning to stay in Yreka, CA tomorrow night and Barstow, CA on Saturday night. We hope to be in Phoenix on Sunday - just in time for Super Bowl. We'll spend a few days there (only 10C degrees today - hope it warms up!) with Helen and Kathleen and will also visit Dot and Mack. From their reports, it looks like a good number of Calgarians are buying winter homes in Phoenix, including their newphew and a neighbour -the real estate problems there are to Canada's advantage. Keep in touch as we travel with our wireless laptop.
