Neighbourhood Activities

Roland and his grand-daughter on her new ATV (she'll grow into it I guess!)

Jean-Yves' son came to show him his new motorcycle bought with a Lotto 649 win!

Georges and Jo are getting ready for winter installing a new fireplace and bringing in firewood.

Morning Coffee on the Dock

Jean-Yves and his buddy doing what he most enjoys doing.

Jean Talon Market in Montreal with Claude and Nicole

Impromptu Neighbourhood Get Together

... also known as the lost evening!

Boating on the St. Laurence

We tried out Benoit's boat with Captain Claude. It's a beauty!

Roland and His Ducks

Roland raised this pair of ducks from chicks. He was very attached to them as you can see.

The Cottage in Quebec

Shortly after Labour Day, we left to spend a few weeks at the cottage in Lanoraie. We left it pretty late this year due to other commitments but were very lucky to enjoy summer-like weather until we left to come back to the farm late in the month. I was glad to see that my perennials did fine without me all summer!

Mack and Dot's Visit

Mack and Dot Robertson (Nicole's uncle and aunt on her father's side) stopped over at the farm on the way back from their motorhome trip from Calgary (their home) all the way to Labrador (where the Quebec Robertson's originated from). We hadn't seen them for a very long time and we had a wonderful visit with them. We hope there'll be many more visits to come.

Introduction to Kawartha Ice Cream

Anyone who has been here know what we're talking about!

Mack riding Stan (the horse!)

Christmas in August

Nicole and PJ were the happy and proud recipients of two of Mack's Christmas tree creations!

Horse Show

Karin Davis - one of Nicole's friend and dressage coach - rode two of her horses, Jimmy and Jo, in a dressage show at a venue nearby - Blue Star Farm. I think our cheering squad might have something to do with the good results.

BBQ/Bonfire/Dinner at The Rocking Horse

We enjoyed a bonfire and Stan's famous hamburgers after the horse show.

Thanks Mackie and Dot!

We all went to the Rocking Horse Pub for dinner in the double bugs!
