St-Casimir

On the way to Quebec City, we stopped off in Ste-Anne-de-la-Perade for lunch. My grandparents' home is still standing, totally renovated, and looking very much different, but it's still there. We then carried on to St-Casimir, about 12 kms away where I was born. My house is still there but looking totally different. I'm showing a photo of what it looks like now but will add a photo of what it looked like then a little later.

In all French-Canadian villages, the church steeple is the most prominent feature. St-Casimir was no exception. The church there can rival any cathedral - and the village never numbered more than 2,500 people. It is being maintained and, where required, restored by very dedicated people.
